The 2007 inaugural conference of the Global Communication Association, sponsored by Shanghai University, was a great success! The conference, supported by Duke University, Purdue University Calumet, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University, brought together over 120 scholars, researchers, and graduate students from throughout the world in a highly collegial and productive atmosphere. During the intensive two-day conference, over 50 presentations were delivered in a high-tech rotunda conference room at the beautiful campus of Shanghai University, Shanghai, China. In addition, some of the attendees took the option of participating in several well-organized pre- and post-conference cultural activities and tours.
The next Global Communication Association conference will take place in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, October 27-28, 2008. Hope you can join us at this thematically focused and highly collegial academic conference. This site will provide further details about the Oman and future GCA conferences.
